Commemoration of the 150th Anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation

Saturday, February 16, 2013      10:00 AM    St. George's Episcopal Church, Fredericksburg VA

The Most Rev. Katharine Jefferts Schori, presiding bishop, and the Rt. Rev. Shannon S. Johnston, bishop of Virginia, will lead an interfaith, multicultural service that recognizes the 150th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation. The service will include a litany of repentance, an observance of the anniversary and a celebration of hope. Free and open to the public.
