Haywood Spangler, Rector

M.Div., Yale University; Ph.D., The University of Virginia

Haywood has led congregations in Charlottesville and Luray.  Before ordination and graduate school, he worked in development and community organizing around issues related to homelessness, domestic violence and fair housing.  He currently serves on the board of the Peter-Paul Development Center in Richmond’s Church Hill.

 

Barbara “Bambi” Willis, Associate Rector

M.T.S., M.Div., Virginia Theological Seminary

M.S., Virginia Commonwealth University

Bambi has worked as a chaplain at MCV and Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg. She has also worked as a professional mediator, and is published in journals related to mediation and pastoral care.  She has served as the President of the Mary Washington College Alumni Association.

 

Kathleen Gambill, Music Director

Kathleen is a graduate of the Peabody Conservatory at Johns Hopkins University.  She has extensive experience as a church musician and professional keyboardist, as well as music education for young people.  She engages adults and young people in a love of music and worship.

 

Jessica Reynolds, Nursery

Jessica has grown up in Richmond and at St. Bart’s.  She is a graduate of Freeman High School and currently attends J. Sarge.  She plans to pursue a career in music and Christian education.
