Sisters and Brothers,

It is a busy time for each of us. So, I want to recap what is happening in our life together over the next several weeks.

The Lamb’s Basket finds itself overwhelmed with need and almost bare shelves. Please continue to be generous and encourage your friends and neighbors to donate as well.

This Vestry will begin discussing the building inspector’s findings. A comprehensive inspection of the structure and its systems, including sewer lines and mold testing was done over the last few weeks. These findings will help us prioritize necessary Capital Maintenance projects.

This Sunday is a big day: Advent Lessons and Carols, Stewardship Ingathering, Annual Cookie Exchange. It will be a joy-filled day.

Christmas Eve Worship will begin with Caroling at 8:30 p.m. followed by Holy Eucharist at 9:00 p.m.

We are still looking for volunteer drivers for Christmas Eve. And, we need to know who would be interested in getting a ride that evening.

The Sunday Evening Healing Prayer Service will be on hiatus until January 8th.

Annual Meeting is scheduled for Sunday, January 22nd. At this meeting, we will elect two new members of the Vestry.

Planning for the coming year includes exploring new worship opportunities, a Community Garden, Cuban Night, a Church Picnic and more.

That’s a lot going on. Thank you to everyone who is working so hard to accomplish all our goals.

Regarding our Stewardship Ingathering, I encourage you to prayerfully consider what we want for our life together and to make your pledge to support our mission and ministry. This Sunday, December 18th, you will be invited to bring your pledge to the altar as an offering to God and as an investment to St. Bartholomew’s future. I also encourage you to make an additional thank offering for what our life together has been this year that will be forwarded to Episcopal Relief and Development’s relief efforts in Ukraine. To make this additional gift, simply make your check payable to St. Bartholomew’s with “ERD – Ukraine” in the memo line. We’ll give people until year’s end to make those thank offerings and then forward what has been given onto Episcopal Relief and Development.

 Merry Advent,

 Michael
